Different Support Systems in Business

So every business is different however I think every business owner, CEO or general manager often feels the same way. That they are pulled in many different directions and they don’t know what they should be doing first. Or they feel anxious and cannot actually move to go onto the next task cause they are stuck. Or is that just me?

So today we are going to talk about some different support systems in business and how easily you can implement them in your business.

1. Internal business support

This one is about utilising the staff and business partners that are already in your business. In my business I am a big believer in team collaboration so if there is a problem or an issue that someone is having (myself including) we bring that to the team as two heads are better than one.

2. External business support

This can take a variety of different people. For us it means utilising a business coach, a business advisor and an accountant to be able to continue to grow and help us make strategic decisions. These businesses are people we can rely on for support as they are experts in their fields and whom we pay for that expertise.

3. External personal support

Sometimes we all need that person who has very little knowledge or is not involved in the nitty gritty details of your business on a day to day basis. I don’t know how many times I have asked my partner to listen to this, does this make sense or just being a listening ear when I need to chat. I also have friends who are in business as well that offer that mix of personal and business support and no financial cost.

4. Good internal systems

This one is very practical and a little nerdy. But ensuring that you have the software and internal systems to achieve what you need to makes the world of difference and keeps business going along nicely no matter how we are feeling or what else is going on. Some examples that we have of this is using Xero for accounts management, Karbon for our communication with clients as well as our to-do list and then we have slack and zoom for communicating as a team.
